Do not bring anything against "morals" - what's that supposed to mean?
Clean, fluid, friendly, although not all of them English-speaking, people will go out of their way to help you.
When they don't understand you, they just laugh happily - which we should do more in Western Europe.
Awed by the incredibly double-digit growth-fueled urbanisation.
Everyone is running around with the latest supersized LG/Samsung version of a smartphone we haven't even heard of. By the time we get to version 9, they're already at version 14..... But, but, but, just as L.Vuiton handbags are signature, so are iPhones, - a real counter-culture for the young and restless. The older businessman are happy enough to snap shotsof the hotel-lobby flowers with their Samsungs....

Ik ben gescandaliseerd.
Door de tussenkomst van een would-be crisis-"managster" op tv.
Genaamde ging prat op de "work-life" balans in heur tijdelijk geërfd Gents transportmaatschappij'tje.
Het is/was daar perfect okay, om voor uw koters te gaan zorgen om vijfenhalf in de namiddag.
Maar o maar; dat gold niet voor haar.
Want ook al had ze 3 maskes van tienerleeftijd,
Nooit zou je haar betrappen op eens vroeger thuiskomen.
Want die grieten van haar, die begrepen dat.
Dat er "brood op de plank most komen".
En dat ze moet weirken. Vlasschen. Travakken.
Haar "man" staan in een mannenbastion.
Op heur linked-in profiel staat het letterlijk.
Zie maar "hier" en blijt.
Over oeverloos, zelf-volprezen gezeik.
Job-hoppen in Scandinavië maar volstrekt het tegenovergestelde uitvoeren in 't Vlaamsche land.
Van zulke "wijven" met "kloten" die hun "man staan" in een "mannenbastion";
daarvan dus zullen wij moeten leren om onzige dochters op te leiden.
't bedrijf zelf was van "de familie" in de handen van deze crisismanagster gestopt.
en ze had de weeromkeer gerealiseerd.
"Machtig" - zou Freddy De Vadder haar toefluimen, met bierschuim en al.
Haar misprijzen, haar dédain, haar hovaardijschap
weze ons allen, inclusief mannen, tot les.
Hoe gaan wij afgerekend worden door onze dochters binnen twintig jaar?
Onze generatie loopt al halfweg op haar laatste benen.
En weinig is veranderd. Noch onze houding, noch onze ambitie om daarover na te denken.
Vrouwen zoals bovenstaand zitten misschien vol frustraties. Maar het zal niet alleen met quota's veranderen.
Waarschiijnlijk zijn quota's in de overheid, en in raden van bestuur meer dan wenselijk.
Maar 't zijn de mannen die moeten veranderen.
Wat zijn wij lui en weerzinwekkend.
Ik zou écht niet graag hebben dat mijn dochter op haar 45e wordt gecoöpteerd in een raad van bestuur,
omdat ze de genderbalance moet bijbenen en "verheffen".
Dat madammeke uit Gent, heur laatste mandaten zijn gesleten.
Met haar rappe tong en incoherent discours staat ze in mijn ogen verder af dan ooit,
om voor haar 3 dochters deuren te openen. Ze doet ze zelf toe.
Want gniffelend aanschouwen we Sturm und Drang;
en zelfkastijding navenang.

Een goed voornemen te kort voor dit jaar?
Luister dan eens wat beter naar onze politierechter Peter Dhont uit Dendermonde, die nooit een blad voor de mond neemt als het gaat over "goed gedrag en zeden" in het verkeer.
"zo rond dit uur staan al die jonge papa's en mama's hun kinderen af te zetten aan de school, geparkeerd op gevaarlijke manier op stoepen en zebrapaden, om dan gevaarlijk weer te vertrekken".
Maakt u zich hier ook schuldig aan, wegens té gehaast?
Durft u ook al eens te vloeken op die "anderen" die dat altijd doen?
Kijkt u zelf wel uit uw doppen tijdens de ochtendlijke rush naar school?
als we nu eens allemaal collectief ons alarm 10 minutekes vroeger zouden zetten, dan wordt dat ontbijt nét iets rustiger en dan kom je vanzelf veiliger op school.
