Insights from Davos

- the UN SecGen Guterres called for the world to work on not just one, but two (2!) existential threats to humanity: climate change (#yeahright) and articial intelligence. He relayed the message that he gave at  the September 2024 "Summit of the Future"; attempting to regulate and govern and limit etc... AI. While researchers the world over have been joining this public call...the tech moguls have almost like a brand new maffia syndicate joined the brand new US government. A steamroller is coming down the drain.

- Trump will address the Davos tourists today... Wondering whether it will make a huge difference. Looking at the Davos programme https://www.weforum.org/meetings/world-economic-forum-annual-meeting-2025/programme/; it all seems a bit "light"
